If you want to add a bit of "action" to your community tank - without causing conflicts between your fish - Danios may be the way to go. Danios are hyper-active, slim relatives of the Barbs that inhanbit fast-flowing waters in the wild. These curious fish have upturned mouths which indicates that they are natural surface feeders. However, when in a tank, they'll take food at whatever level they can get it. These schooling fish are ready breeders. However, be sure to keep an eye on them, because like their relatives the Barbs - Danios are egg-eaters. |
